Default Cossie valve seat

Is it possible to set the valve seat to deap in the head, so lifters don`t close valves. Some of mine exhaust valves do not close, when i turn cam in closed position. It`s a standar exhaust cam, and i have try whit different lifters.

The valves are possibly bent????

No, they are not. They close until cam and followers is mounting. The head works are done by an engine builder. It looks like some of the seats are deaper in the head than others, and they are the problem.

It's quite common to use cheaper VW lifters on a cossie head. They are a tad longer, but normally don't create problems.

Was everything working fine before the head work was done? Was there any damage previous to the head work?
