hi im just looking for some help. does anybody no what clutch kits will fit on the st170... with the 6 speed box. using a 240mm flywheel. the problem is finding a clutch that fits the splines on the gearbox.
i no that the civic type r and the cooper s, both use the same gearbox. but does anybody no if the clutches are the same size ? thanks.

Civic type R is a new one on me. The Cooper S has a 215mm disc. I know Big Will's current build is using "Cooper S" competition gear set, FD and clutch. Spec though is Top Secret!
I've used a complete Vauxhall C20LET clutch with a modified Fidanza flywheel (230mm). TTV are now saying they supply a Vauxhall XE clutch plate with their steel flywheel.
My experience is that the Vauxhall clutches won't fit a standard Ford DMF. In order to prevent interference between the sprung hub and the inner guide of the slave cylinder, the plate has to be fitted reversed (hub in flywheel). Not a problem on a Fidanza, or according to TTV their flywheel, but is with a DMF.
PumaSpeed were doing an uprated LuK plate (unsprung) but were reluctant to reveal they did both sizes.....
