Fiesta RST Irregular fueling problem!!!!!!!!
Wondering if anyone has any idea on how to sort my motor out? the car runs great until it reaches running temperature (Not over heating, if that's what you think!). Then this irregular fuelling problem occurs, when driving, the car struggles as if it is not pumping the correct amount of fuel. So then once I've pulled over the car will continue to idle but the moment that you put your foot on the peddle it struggles and cuts out. Then you could be waiting up to an hour before the car will start and run normal again. It occurs over and over again, but then again it may not fault for a few days then out of the blue it breaks down.
It has been at the RE Performance Centre in Bury for we over a month and it has had new spark plugs, leads, fuel filter, MAP sensor but still no joy!!!
It has been on the rollers and it is running in A1 condition until the fault occurs!
In total it has been 11 weeks without my beloved car and public transport is really beggining to p*ss me off!!!! Please help!!!

Cheers for the reply, I forgot to mention that I have changed the fuel pump relay and the fuel injection relay. Will suggest the other two to the geezers at RE. He did say something about injector timing, something about when running it was at 11ms and when the fault occurs it drops to 2ms. I didn't really understand though! Cheers for the suggestions though mate i'll give them a go!!!

Hmm..
Tell em to check the map SIGNAL at the ecu, it may not be reaching it due to a failing component in the loom, and i know what it is if it is that........

i had the same problem as what you are having after many week off the road (in RE "Performance" Centre) That place is Sh1t!. I ended up calling my insurance and they took my baby away, then got back to me only a few days later to advise me my car was a demic and had been written off, " Still neve seen her to this day"
i hate insurane after all the money i paid.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!! To all car lovers out there, NEVER I repeat NEVER go to RE PERFORMANCE CENTRE in BURY!!! They had my beloved FRST for a total of seven weeks and I spent in the region of £500 pounds in total (New MAP sensor, Plugs, Leads, Fuel filter, Relays and pump diapham). They threw my dump valve away and didn't inform me, just launched it. They didn't offer any money for it, and the car is still not anymore closer to being fixed than when I dropped it off all them weeks ago!!!!
