Default ka turbo engine mount

ive seen them for sale from trackdesigns but theyre pretty expensive for what i'll be using it for - got an old ka, a decent turbo engine and im pretty much just looking for a hoot with a rusty old shitheap and a reasonable power output.

is there any way to modify the existing mount to do the same job?

cheers for any help.

Ask the 'experts' at PF....that's what their Project Peanuts was meant to be. Pity they kept sloping off to specialists to get the real engineering work done properly.

There's quite a bit gone into the engine mount, so not a quick job to make, and the whole kit is £245, doesn't seem that bad.

What engine are we concerned with? Project Peanuts started with a Zetec Blacktop and they didn't seem too aware of the various kits for different alternator/waterpump/etc drives. That of course came after they tried to line up some mounts using long bolts....and ripped the gearbox mount off the chassis. Well that's how I read it.

£245 is pretty expensive. Blakey sold the cast ones for £75 iirc. His original one was from welded steel plate. You could try doing that?

JAmes.
