Default DV on charge carrier ERST

I see that some people have their dump valve mounted to the cross over/charge pipe as opposed to off the boost hose. Is there any reason or benafit for doing this??

Thanks for any help.

i always thought the closer the valve to the throttle body the better. hence why the on a cosworth they move the valve from the other side of the cooler to the cold side near the throttle body??????

just what i thought not gospal i may be wrong!

cheers,
Phil
