Default smoking cossie

hi lads n lasses i have probs with my 3dr smoking at idle it has a hybrid t38 and the engine has done around 1500 miles and was build by collins performance so was done right it only smokes when standing still and there is nothing under boost or normal off boost driving and the smoke is blue im thinking valve stem seals maybe one has cracked or come off its seating !!!anybody elses opinion would be appriciated cheers

sounds like a stem seal torn possibly worn guides, usually stem seals smoke on over run and is blue where as turbo smoke is usually white but if turbo has gone on compressor side it will show as blue

cheers for your reply mate ,yes the turbo is brand new and so are all the guides as i had a full engine rebuild so hope fully it is stem seals altough it is fine on the over run !!!

See if the pipe between intercooler and tb has oil in it, as it would have to pass through here so if bone dry not the turbo.
I assume the head was done as well ?, but wouldn't hurt to make sure breathers are all nice and clear.

yes checked that on the blower mate its fine n dandy and yes the head was all done must admit have not checked breather hoses for blockages will do that over the weekend went out in it last night and it was fine no smoke at all its a bit of a head scratcher
