Hi,

There would originally been three pipes one coming of each port on the valve, one comes from the turbine housing to the valve and the other from the valve to the actuator I would guess port "A" just vents to atmosphere as you probaly have a cone filter. What the valve does is "Bleeds" the boost pressure off to port "A" which is vented to atmosphere and hence your actuator does not see the true boost and keeps the wastegate shut.

Normally what people do is remove the bleed valve and cut one of the pipes and put a bleed valve in between.

I personally think these are nasty devices, you set them up to the desired boost and manually adust the boost on the controller itself. The ECU has no control over the boost with this.

With the bleed valve the maximum boost pressure is dictated by the chip and when this is reached it will cut the power to the solanoid and divert the pressure to the wastegate which will now open as the boost pressure over comes the actuator pressure.

It may be the valve is broken, easiest way to test is to unplug the electrical plug and go for a drive if cars drives the same then the valve is faulty. The valve should click when the ignition is switched on.

Kind regards,

Martin
