removing rear shocks from s2 ?

Default removing rear shocks from s2 ?

i am currently trying to fit my konis to my s2 but when i have come to undo the bolt on top of the rear shock inside the boot its just spinning the whole shock if you know what i mean ? do i need a special tool or sumat to undo them or and i doing sumat wrong ? thanks in advance

Have you put an allen key in the top of the shock to stop it spinning (obviously hold the allen key too,lol)

wht haz said,or undo it when its on the deck as it should put enuff pressure to undo it!u can grip the shaft of the shock also if u aint got a spanner tht fits it properly,
also be careful of the brake pipes!

i have tryed gripping the bottom of the shock but its the metal bar ( dnt know correct word) that goes inside the shock itself thats spinning , i tryed an allen key but carnt hold that on and put socket over it to undo if you get me , and it seems a little low into the cup to get a spanner onto it aswel ??? cheers

only way i could get mine off was with a windy gun..couldnt think of a better way

yup, swan neck style spanner, and an allen key, job jobbed

although an impact gun doesnt half make the job a lot less hassle lol

if u need to further hold the shaft of the strut, pair of mole grips do the job nicely

Alternative way is to undo the bottom of the shock first, then pull the shock from the bottom sideways while undoing the nut. It won't spin if it's pulled to side. This is tricky alone though...
