Hi I had a headgasket change 6000 miles ago, but socalled *professionals* didnt fit new headbolts, iam under the cam cover again and thinking about this. Car was running fine, just hydraulic cam followers needs to be changed.
Why there is a need in new bolts after reinstalling the gasket, and shall I think about replacing the gasket with bolts now, can I change bolts without changing the gasket, or I should leave as it is, couse its working fine.... theese are the questions... cheers!

Whilst it's running ok I would use it, just keep a daily check on coolant level.
The std bolts are stretch bolts, ie a bit springy, once torqued up they stretch a little, but must be replaced when doing hg.

Coolant level is fine past 6000 miles, I check the oil and coolant every morning
as i understand the new bolt thingie is only about gasket leak? anything other depends on that maybe? and if it didnt started to leak i can save on bolts and gasket and sleep well?
