Default zetec head swap??? HELP

hi all,

the timing belt went on the focus the other day, the idler pulley imploded and the timing slipped badly, trashed the valves.

its a 2 litre blacktop zetec, will the head from a 1.8 zetec fit onto the 2 litre lump?

i have a spare 1.8 head laying around in the garage, so if the head would fit i'm just going to swap them over to save the time and expense of buying and fitting new valves.

ford parts at newcastle 'think they should be fit no problem' but i'd rather know for definate.

thanks in advance for any help

cheers

cheers guys, thats what i thought.

I've got the 1.8 head cleaned up while i wait for my minions to arrive and help me drag the car into the garage to get started.

Im going to have a good compare of the heads tonight, if there looks too much of a difference then I'll just pull the good valves from the 1.8 head. they have the same part no's so should be a straight swap.

The increase in CR is from 10:1 up to 11:1. not much for Ford ECU to handle.
