easy one for someone in the know.....(?)

how the fekk does the handbrake cable detatch from the rear caliper on a 2wd saph....unhooked the cable from the caliper mechanism, but the cable threads through a hole with a large plastic retainer.....

b4 i attack it and bugger it up how is is supposed to come off ?

It's a tight fit and secured with a 'C' clip. Prise out clip and pull hard.
