Default RS Turbo ACT sensor fitment

As title........
Been trying to help a mate with rebuilding his RS1600i,
its now running a T28 turbo and some other bits but with a different inlet and charge carrier set-up,
we're struggling to find a way to fit the ACT sensor into the charge carrier pipe.

The sensor has a tapered thread.......anyone know where to get a nut/boss/fitting or whatever to allow it to be fitted either into a silicone hose or stainless pipe?

Please help.......its one of the last hurdles!!!!!!!!

CheeRS in advance!!

Any decent nut bolt suppliers should be able to come up with a nut that is the correct taper, it's not unusual on some fittings, but assuming it is going to be mapped etc, then why not just use a more conventional threaded one, by just tigging a nut on the charge pipe.

I don't remember the sensor on my old RS turbo having a tapered thread.......is there a couple of different versions?

If we can find a steel nut that fits welding it onto the charge carrier is what we had planned.

Cheers for the reply.......seems that to get replies on here you need to be in the "in crowd"

Right been out to garage and got my spare convertor , the manifold ( male ) end is 3/8th npt , ie 18 threads per inch with a major diameter of just over 17 mm , the female end is M12 X 1.5 mm , I am trying to source some of these cos they seem to be one thing that is as rare as hens teeth , might just have to make some though .
Hope this helps .
