any idea to a problem driving me mad just fitted a 1.6 cvh engine in my old escort mk3 that was a 1.1 when cold engine turns over ok but when hot it turns over very slowly it has the 3i four branch manifold on that is very close to starter ive looked at a few web pages some say poor starter but i have tried four supposed to be good ones and all have same fault other web pages saying heat soak and to try heat wrap on front paipe any one had a simalar prob and how did they sort it out pleae help driving me mad

 

geta diesel starter motor mate.or just heat wrap exhaust

 

will a diesel one fit and what model

 

mark 4 escort ,mark 5 and mark 6 escort diesel all fit mate.

 

mK4 diesel will fit, get the heat wrap on also and it will be fine

 

u mite have to drop the manifold down to get it in,but sometimes they squeeze thru mate
