Default Injectors

Sorry to jump in as my first post and ask a question but im at a bit of a loss on who to ask! So cosworth owners seemed the best answer

Im building a williams clio turbo with a standalone (emerald) management (the first i know of to have a standalone)

Unfortunately being a standalone i need a high impedance injector... The injector i initally wanted to use were the green 803s, but these are low impedance!

Any advice for an injector similar to the green 803s with a high impedance??

Or even a good place to look?

Many thanks,

Engine builder said he will map it to 21psi to start up to 26psi once its done it running in and ironed out the niggles.

Ive found a set of 415cc high impedance green giant bosch injectors. I think they will be nigh on perfect for what im looking for

Quick calculation shows that at 7000rpm@ 26psi boost with air/fuel ratio of 12.5:1 with injectors running 100% duty cycle you would need a theoretical 373 cc/ min

Wow helpfulness at its prime, Thanks very much mate! So those injectors seem more than man enough for the job. 100 quid brand new from a fella on a vag forum too. Excellent

That is them running at 100% duty , but I have to say would think if everything else is right like intercooler and fuel pump you might find 21 psi is enough in it , but at least they should give you some " headroom " in case you want to go to 26 psi , if you are looking at not running injectors flat out but more towards 80% you would be looking at 450cc so the ones you got are somewhere between the two .

Well for the time being i cant imagine them being used at more than a medium boost of what...15psi? Ive made it clear i dont want even an accident to knacker my engine (for instance someone getting in the car and driving it flat out while im at work) as ive injected alot of hard work money into the build.

For 100 quid i cant complain. If they need an upgrade at a later date ill lay out the 300 quid for the 450 cc injectors!!

Thanks very much again mate

Just add some 5K ohm resistors in each earth line to injectors, this will take it up to around 8 ohm which is plenty ok, Karl himself told me this as this is what I use, on my greys.
Don't even think of approaching 100% duty cycle, try not to go over 80%, if not just ring emerald, speak to Kim or Leoni, 01953 889110, as they also sell suitable injectors.
By the way it's not the first either, or the 2nd or 3rd!!
