Default mk4 escort rear inner arm bush

as above does it need to be pressed off the suspension arm or does it simply slide into place. rear inner arm bush where it bolts to the body of the car

The steel casing is tapered, you will see if you look close. You need to hammer it out the correct way but try not to rest the open end of the wishbone on whatever you rest it on when hammering otherwise you will fold the metal inwards.

fab thanks for your help on that how do you know which way to hammer it though. is there any markings to look for?

You need to knock it out towards the fatter end of the taper (it wont go the other way) you need to hit the steel bush which should stick out ever-so slightly from the pressing of the wishbone.
