Default co2 adjustment

a mate of mine has got a fiesta 1.4 zetec on about a 52 plate has just failed its mot on emmissions due to a fucked cat is there any tempary way of lowering the emmissions just to get it through a mot as he aint got the money for a new cat at the moment?????

nope
its closed loop so the ecu measures the readings from the lambda sensors
and adds the required amount of fuel,
its all ecu controlled so theres nothing you can adjust
just bung the tester a score and he'll forget to check the emmisions
