IDS when did it come into play?

what is the oldest car that IDS will comunicate with?
and what is the oldest car the IDS will operate fully with?

thats what i originally thought but ive been told that the mk6 rs2000s have a 16pin but are not IDS compatable?
anyone got a list of what is?
