Default external wastegate fitting advice

now ive got an external wastegate fitted..and removed the actuator. what do i do with the internal wastegate that has now been made redundant. as its just flapping about now with no actuator holding it shut/open.
do i just remove the whole flap, leaving the internal wastegate open? as the external one has now taken its duties?

hope ive made sense. its for a t34 turbo on an rst if that helps, cheeRS

if you remove the internial one it will by pass the gasses all the time so the turbo will make very little boost. you need to weld the internial one shut or leave the actuator on and wined it shut

ah ok, i had a 50% chance of getting what to do right, and i chose the open, doh! will just weld it shut then as i cant fit an actuator on a t34 in a fez as it rubs on the rad lol

any actuator will hold it closed as long as you just leave the vac pipe off of it
or you can just make up a little threded rod to hold it closed

If you weld it you might get problems in future with it cracking. Bet bet to use a piece of threaded rod like already said.

Also if you weld it it might be hard to sell on if you ever need to.

good point. its round my mates at the mo getting manifold finished. when i get it back il have a look and see best way of fitting a rod to keep it shut.
its only one of those cheap laggy japanese t34s so will prob blow it up before i sell it lol
