last pointers on rear disc conversion
hi all,
i know this has probably ben asked before somewhere but i have searched the forum and cant find help on these points. i have got the kit for the rear disc conversion, solid discs 253mm i think they are xr4i. they are going on an xr3i 1990 rally car. i have brake lines in car and hydraulic handbrake. my question is, are the regulators in the engine bay? just under the fusebox? as the brake lines go through them in my current set up, also will i need a bigger master cylinder? i have s2 rst brakes up front, lastly will the wheels stick out further at the back after the conversion? i havnt got any room to allow this! thanks in advance for advice.

253 = xr4x4 rear discs, you won't need a larger master cylinder, the pressure regulator on these is I think on the underside of the body near the rear just before the split, but could be wrong.
There may be a marginal difference in tyre sticky outage.
