hi all

i have a 1986 escort rs turbo its wont fire it turns over but no fire....i have replaced the coil,dizzy cap,rotary warm spark plugs and leads.....when i turn it over the plugs are sparking but are getting covered in fuel and you can smell it.....please help as this is driving me mad.............

first thing to check is that the air flow meter is not jammed in the wide open state , take the pipe off from air intake and see that the flap is not stuck in the downward position , or someone has not screwed the mixture screw so far that it is pushing the flap out of position , that would be my first port of call in that situation .
