seriously rich cossie
First I MIGHT know where my problem is, but I am a BIT confused.
I recently changed my P8 (suspected faulty) with a L8 when buying a new chip also for the L8 and fitted it all.
The car is a Escort and still have the PF09 TPS fitted (I havent switched any TPS wires) The loom is std escort, al I did was change the ecu with chip.
My problem is that the fueleconomi SUCKS!!!! My afr reading is massively rich in the area of best 12.5 and worst around 10 when driving steading speed. Beside this I havent got any issues.. no misfires or like.. lummpy driving.. drives rather well
I am sure I have seen the my AFR showing "fuel cut" on overrun in the area of 1800r/min but I dont see that anymore..hmm. Then I thought, allright the TPS might need a adjustment. I will try check everything I can with a multimeter. The TPS said 0.1V (0.1-4.6) at idle and the workshop manual sais around 0.6V.. so I adjusted it. NOthing havce changed.. no "fuelcut" when letting the foot of the throttle and still very rich. So It MIGHT be a faulty TPS but when taking a reading on pin 11-30 on the ECU I still 0.6V to 4.8V and the correct ohm whit plug of ecu!
Then I checked the lambda sensor.. earth to pin 1 or 2 .. I dont even see 12V (I might have had a bad earth to the multimeter at this point). Will I see 12V to the lambda no matter how hot/cold the car is??
Can my TPS be bad even though I can read the volt as described??? There is defenently something wrong when I have no fuel cut.. correct??
By the way air/coolant temp sensor are checked.. they are fine.

What map sensor is on your car? Standard APS-06 (2.5 bar)?
Lambda sensor produces a maximum of 1 (One) volt, not 12.
Tps voltage should be 0.16 Volt +- 0.08 Volt, definitely NOT 0.6 Volt. Your manual is wrong. When set at 0.6 volt you will never get a fuel cutoff.
