I just had a discussion with someone who has a XR2i efi. He has had the head ported and a Kent cams CVH32 fitted and it was dynoed at 140hp. I had the CVH32 too when I had my Orion N/A, and I can't really fault it. On the other hand, remember that what ever you will gain high up in the rev range, you WILL lose lower down. Therefore I am not personally a big fan of hot cams.

so how much faster on take off wold a mk4 efi escort be,with a 4 speed boxd cos i had 1.6efi nova gte with a 4 speed box, rapid would beat most things on take off,it only had a k&n induction kit, engine started racing at about 110mph,would beat any 3i ,was a lot faster than a gte with 5 speed box, when u floored it u couldnt see where u where going, pnned u in ure seat,i no it sound a bit over the top for a gte but it was realy fast,it only had 56000 miles from new which was genuine,
