hi im doing a zetec conversion into my mk3 escort but the front engine block breather where is it supposed to go?? the pipe sends it to the side of the block but i cant work out where to join it too? as the only other breatheri can see is on the rocker cover.

it goes on the inlet manifold mate

 

as above, it runs under the coil pack and hooks up to the back of inlet manifold.

 

As said gets fed back into engine, but if you are after power, make/use a breather system that vents to atmosphere.
