Default S2 rst problems again.. SOLVED! :)

Hello again!

i had some problems in january

https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...702&highlight=

And i changed the fuel distributor, but the ecu still needs
that vent so it works.

I have changed following parts:

Fuel distributor
Ignition distributor
Ecu / and jetronic box
Throttle position sensor
Air tempeature sensor
Fuel filter
spark plugs

ecu is chipped now.. when i remove the vent from ecu's pipe the ignition advance goes erratic on boost. It has no power at all.

Timing advance is 9°, i also tried 11° but it knocks 4 and fifth gear.

Setting #1
When i tight the ecu pipe vent ( less pressure going ecu) car runs better and has more power but knocks easier.

Setting #2
I open the vent ( more pressure going to ecu) not knock at all, but no low rpm power.

Yesterday i tested 8° ignition, and open the vent more..
1.0 bar and not knock but low rpm and vacuum car is like corolla, no power at all.

What should i try next?

Ps. sorry my bad english again

Putting a restriction in the pipe to ecu will cause all sorts of problems and is NOT required on any state of tune RST

That vent goes to a MAP sensor in the ECU that is probably why you have problems, it MUST be attached

Hmm.. i think you now get wrong what i mean.
That pipe from intake manifold that goes in ecu is attached of course.
I mean that car wont work without that screw (pressure limiter) in pipe.

Problem solved.

We adjusted the advance without taking the pressure pipe off from ecu earlier and now take the pipe off and turn ignition there where it should be 12° and now car works without any screw in ecu pipe.

Thanks for help!
