Have done most of the hard work, but the fuel tank for the xr3i wont fit the van, any suggestions?? Thinking about welding the swell pot from xr3i tank into the vans original diesel tank. Struggling to find a mk4 1.3 van petrol tank!

 

I'm having a simular problem, I am thinking about using an external swirl pot.

Haven't heard of that on this job? How do you go about it?

 

keep the oe tank (clean it out)then use a lift pump to the inside of van then use a ext swirl pot and a rst pump

 

Can't i weld the swirl pot from the xr3i tank to the vans diesel tank?? Didn't know bout the method you explained - have you seen that done?

 

i had to do it this way when i had a rst van dont start tring to weld swril pots it to the diesel tank it piss easy to do ill pm u the bits you needif you want im tring to find out if the petrol van tank will work

 

have a look on ebay item number 330288477830 its a fuel tank from tha petrol van should fit n had a quick check up n i think its got a swril pump
