Default Plzzzzz help

Finally got insured 2day for the first time in 4 years, Still cant drive aarrr. The back lights on my mk4 escort van are playing up, when the lights are on the back left side go on but no break lights an when the lights are off the right side break light works, reverse light is fine. Any idea`s people?
Any help would be appriciated thanks again...

its normally a earth problem, or may be a poor conection on the bulb holders

cheers m8 will take a look at the earths 2moz, do you think the indicator stalk could cause these probs as the lights on that too?

when ever ive had a problem with escort lights,its always been bad earths,bloody always been a problem..

cheers fella`s, theres an earth on each back light i no i can check. If its not them does any1 no if theres any anywere else that would affect the lights?

The most effective cure is to hard wire it, or at the very least run a seperate earth from the body to each earth track on the light bulb fitting itself so bypassing the dreadfull connectors earth.

cheers m8, had a play with the earths! turns out it was themThanks people big help all working accept 1 break light, bought a new bulb an its not that so thinking bout running a seperate earth see if that does the job... hopefully will then am laughin
