Default NEED HELP!!

hello ppl ive got a mk5 escort 1.6 cvh everytime i press the brakes the fuse blows ive tried a new brake switch still the same ive checked the fuse box looks ok. So now ime stuck dont no what it is anybody no what it could be plzzzzz help. chris

Hi mate try checking the brake light bulbs sometimes they blow and weld to the back light causing a short. also check connections to the lights maybe they are corroded and shorting across. good luck.

As the problem only occurs after you have pressed the pedal, the fault in the circuit, a short to ground must lie after the switch.
Take out both bulbs first see if it still does it, put one back at a time, if it is still ok then look for a wire that is chaffed through or maybe even corrosion bridging the live for the brake circuit and earth somewhere between pedal and lampholder.

ive just checked the bulbs and there fine tried taken them out and pressin the brakes but still the same. So ile check all the wiring again l8r thanks for the help ile let you no how it goes

disconnect the bulb holders as well as these play up
