hi guys ur probably all getting sick of me posting problems about my rs but i really need to get the thing back on the road. Right to start off its a Escort S2 Rst 2.1 ZVH EFI. the car went into a tuners garage in november to have a few bits done and a basic setup. The car went in on OFAC Management running an XR3I EFI Loom, the car would start first time, tick over nice and drive normally, but when on boost try to cut out. I sent it in to get setup but the guy said it was underfueling and he couldn,t set it up. So i then went out and bought the OFAB setup 195 superchip and beiges. The guy fitted this and also the whole OFAB Engine loom as i thought this would be easier rather than making pin changes. But basically it hasnt ran since, wont even tick over now, The superchip and beiges havent been fitted because the guy at the garage says for some reason its only running on 2 injectors now. I can only guess that he has missed something when swapping the loom over, i,m gonna be picking the car up 2moz and towing it back to my house to play with it myself. But i,m gonna need some tips as im no good with wiring. Does anybody have any ideas of what could of caused the car to only run on 2 injectors and how to rectify this problem. Thanks
hmm, I had problems with my ofab setup zvh too. To eliminate loom problems I went onto www.rsbible.co.uk > S2 > EFI Conversion. Scroll it down a fair way and you'll see two tables for ofac & ofab pinouts. I simply unplugged my main ecu connector and tested each loom connector for continuity.
Once I did have a prob with the injector loom part shorting out on a nearby sharp edge which stopped my injectors firing, maybe you've got something similar but check and you'll find out.
Good luck...
