Need a new clutch for my Fiesta.
Ford quoted me £112, supply only, but my brother-in-law can get me a pattern part at cost for £40.
Are the pattern parts any good?
I don't want to go through all the bother of changing the clutch for a pattern part to find the bearing is rattling after 6 months.
Anyone had much experience with the cheaper clutches?
Would love to hear your views, to help me decide, cheers.

Have you tried getting a price from www.fordpartsuk.com they are genuine Ford parts but with about 20% reduction on over the counter parts.
Go to the 'Parts Request' section and they'll come back with their price, the retail price and even the Finis codes.
In my experience genuine is always the best as I've used patent parts and have had problems with them and then still had to pay out for genuine ones after.
Good luck.
