cossie boost

I agree with jtech, the more boost the more heat is created, which is waht we don't want, and would agree nothing above about 320/330 would I run one at.
The cooler can physically take the pressure no problem any that you can throw at it, but that's not the issue.

hi i think it has a level 4 ecu chipped to 300bhp on a 3 door sierra, i want to make the engine bay look more standard so want to remove the big intercooler and replace with the standard item i dint know what a safe psi of boost would be with the standard intercooler, would it be able to run 20psi and also if you lower the boost on the actuator does the fueling need adjusting or is that all governed by the boost psi through the ecu itself so would not need attension, or how do you wire high and low boost in through the amal valve so it runs low boost until the boost is adjusted on the actuator, thanks

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
If you change the intercooler you need to get the car checked. It might affect the fueling a bit too much.
A simple method to have high and low boost is a on/off switch in one of the 2 wires going to the amal valve. You can test the effect by simply disconnecting the electric wires to the amal valve and test-drive the car.
