Default RS Turbo Problem. Help Needed !

Hey Everyone. Im after some help. I have a series 2 escort rs turbo with a 1900 american tall block engine in it ! problem i have is that it has a top end knock ive been told its cam or the followers. But im not 100% sure what to do ? Either whack a new head on or fit a new camshaft and followers etc ? Has anyone got any ideas or anything else it could be ? Cheers

Would guess the followers from what you describe.

Top end knocks can only be cam and lifters, valves should not make any audible noise!
Often the big ends knocking can be mistaken for top end to the untrained ear, i'd whip the sump off and check mate.
