Hiya i have a mk5 escort 1.6lxi 16v and have a few probs wiv it, for some reason it starts up fine but as soon as go to pull away and go to slow down the revs drop and it goes to stall it only does this once then its fine after, also it seems to be quite gutless and doesnt have much go in it, ive been told that this could be due to a sticky idle control valve and was just wondering how to go about cleaning it? also would new leads and sparkys help?
