Hi all and merry Christmas....
ok, bottom end knocking off load above about 2000rpm, oil pressure light coming on...sounds like big ends to me so...
If I get another zetec block (1.8) can I take it's crank out and get new standard size shells if it seems unworn and put it into my block?
Only reason I wouldn't just swap for another is that my block's been converted for ZVH use ie pistons skimmed, breather blocked and relocated, oil return put in and head oil returns blanked off.
Or are cranks not too interchangeable as in blocks line bored to 'grades' so different sizes?
Any help's gratefully taken....
Karl.

ok, thanks for the replies. I'm off to the garage tomorrow so i'll drop the sump and assess the damage before any drastic transplant operations!
