Default Modified Zetec power....

Anybody take an educated guess as to the potential power of the engine below when it gets mapped?

1800cc Silver top Zetec.
Standard but rebuilt bottom end.
Ported, polished and rebuit head with 290 deg cams and vernier pulleys.
Compression raised to 10.5 : 1
Isolated induction kit with cold air supply
4-2-1 tubular manifold with EGR removed
Decat and Mongoose cat back exhaust.
2.0 injectors in port matched injector plate.
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Custom made short runner intake with 70mm TB
Unichip.

In reality.. 140-150bhp.. in the world of rolling roads, 170+

Last thing you want is a 'short' intake on an engine like that..

Do you mean 170 at the flywheel? Its for a light weight track car why would I not want a short runner intake?

from wot i've seen of 1800's in mk6 escorts i'd say 155/160 at the fly if setup right
could add 10/15bhp on a 2litre with a similar setup.

Thats why we went for things like the custom short runner intake and large TB, everywhere people said the standard inlet restrited power. I've seen people claim 150bhp on a two litre zetec with just a management change.
