can any 1 help iv got a 1.8 zvh frst that wont spark its ofab set up iv changed all the parts back and for from another engine and loom i had but no luck is it true that u have 2 use the zetec crank sensor with the efi flywheel iv no idea myself

it could be that the crank sensor is to small mate .and not picking up from the fly wheel

 

iv got the slightly longer sensor from the early fiesta turbo its gettin a pulse reading ut still nae spark

 

try changing the coil pack or check if u have a loose earth wire some where

 

I once put a engine in a xr2i,it would crank for england used all the old coilpack,plugs,tdc pick up the lot. Told the guy at the scrappy where i got the engine from (who is a great mechanic) and he said to me have you check the battery terminals! turns out i had a battery connection on wrong. Because some of them look the same ! Give that a try mate
