Default Zetec Turbo Idle Speed Control Valve

Hi All,

I am using a rover turbo inlet manifold on my 2.0 zetec turbo with ofab loom. What idle speed control valve can i use which would plug into ofab loom? Would i have to drill the inlet manifold? Is their any other way of fitting one without mounting it on the inlet manifold?

Cheers
Si

You could use a rs2000 style one and mount it remotely?

My mate is running a zetec turbo on Emerald management, mapped by Dave Walker, with no idle speed control valve at all. He was using a fiesta turbo one at first but had problems with it leaking, so removed it and tbh it idles fine without.

.. but you don't want the idle vale for warm idle, you want it for cold start - which I doubt even the magician known as Dave Walker can do in a calibration!

Mine wont idle:-(, it will start from cold straight away but then cut out as the revs are too low. If i adjust the throttle cable so it will idle it will be fine for about 10 seconds then it will start hunting and cut out. Even if i get it warm its still the same.

As far as i can tell their are no air leaks, Not sure what to do

Maybe not, but the car starts and idles fine... both from cold and hot.

If I disconnect my iscv, it still start and idles fine hot or cold, I just like th facility of iscv, so I can have a nice high idle when cold 1800rpm so it warms quicker etc.
Depending on how cold it is I put it on rich cold, richer cold, or even richer cold for starting, by flicking the switch.
