Default t34 turbo advice

im thinking of buying a t34 turbo it is fitted with a restrictor on the air inlet housing.obviously i would be wanting to remove it.if it was removed could i just put the intake hose directly onto the housing or are any other mods required?

So long as it's the std .60 AR compressor housing as used on the cossies yes, the restrictor (34mm) is a tube like device that goes inside the main inlet, and is held by bolts going through the flange that secures the normal pipe, this then extends out about 2 1/2" and the pipe then goes on this bit, but yes restrictors are removable just a few bolts, normally three.
The 34mm restrictors are used in certain racing classes but are certainly not a limit till well over 300bhp anyway.
