Could anyone tell me what this bracket is for on a borg warner t5? there is also one on the other side of the box, i could do with knowing what this one is for as well.

I have just looked through my complete TREMEC rebuild manual for the T5, it shows it on every piccie, but does not refer to it anywhere.
As it is very close proximity to the reverse light switch possibly it was to hold some loom wires away from exhaust etc as this casing is used on 33 different variants of T5, especialy as the bracket has a hole in it, but maybe not ?
