Default Handbrake Problems

I am having trouble with the handbrake on my saph. Basically the handbrake does not work. At first i put this down to the cable being faulty so i replaced the cable with a brand new one. This still didn't fix the problem. i am now suspecting that it is the calipers that are the problem. my question is how difficult would it be for me to take the caliper apart and clean it up. Or would it be easier to just source 2 new rear calipers.

Cheers

Damian

You could try knocking the mechanisim back and forth, but it may stick on then ?
BIGGRED.CO.UK are ace for brake stuff.

as tabethat says, on top of the caliper there is the bit your cable attaches too, get a hammer and somee wd40 spray loads on the gently and manly work it back and fore, not a long term thing but will stop it binding if they are stuck on, or just operate if they are off
