timing belt change problem
just tried to get the bottom pulley off and it seemed to jump the teeth on the belt when i turned it, i had a locking bar through the cam pulley to try and hold it but the bottom pulley kept spinning, any other way to get the bugger off please???

To get the crank pulley bolt out, get someone to sit in the car, with their foot hard on the brakes, and put it in fourth. Use a suitable bar and socket and undo the bolt. It'll be effing tight but will turn quite easily after it's cracked.
Use the same trick to do it up again.

If you can put a long extension on a socket and get a good whack with a hammer on the extension the shock will loosen it, this is how I did mine, and for tightening just applied handbrake in gear(5th) and it went up to poundage no problem.
