My first post on the site, sorry its a problem with my car

On my way to crail today, and out of nowhere the steering became very tight.

I found that going slow and taking corners, it was very difficult to turn, and the steering wheel was naturally wanting to "kick back?" to either full lock left/right and straight i was wrestling with it most of the day it was realy scary stuff, couldnt tell what it was going to do.

At some points when turning full lock left/right and nearly zero-mph, let go of the wheel and it would spin right back to straight very rapidly.

Any ideas wot it could be? I had a quick look but nothing too deep yet and nothing seemed to be loose or anything.

Oh and my 1/4 mile time at crail was 13.6, was quite disapointed really :P
