cossie ex manifold gaskets???

Smile cossie ex manifold gaskets???
just a quicky-but which way do the manifold gaskets (X4)go on a sapp cossie?theres a shiny smooth side and sort of coarse side?(i mean the head to manifold cheers,)

Flat metal type side goes to the manifold
