zetec into mk4 questions
right ppl i need some info on my n/a zetec.
firstly i am running 2.0 zetec with escort sump and rs turbo gearbox.
now i wanted to fit a st170 exhaust manifold to it but this cant be done with the starter motor on the front.
can i put the starter on the back?
can the bellhousing be changed to hold the starter on the back??
any ideas????????????????
also has anyone heard of the aif flow meter being mapped out of the system so i dont have to use it?

I believe that the later zetec engines did have the starter motor positioned on the back of the engine, so might be worth using a gearbox from a later zetec engined motor. You should eb able to get the gearbox from a zetec engine into the Mk4 engine bay with a few little mods.
Not sure when they changed and started putting them at the back of the engine but it is done so might be worth finding out.
Soz cant be of anymore help but might help you to know that it can be done
