Lightened flywheels
anyone know how much can safely be taken off a std cosworth flywheel, or is it a bit of a false economy, and would a proper one be a much better idea?

Would be interested in doing it on my car, but afraid of loosing too much torque by doing this. Of course engine will rev up quickly but you will loose engine torque.

as above; it will rev easier but you will lose torque
not sure what a safe linit is to remove; but having it balanced will be good

I'm sure Harvey said that up to 5kg was possible. I will try to find out what was possible with my engine.
the torque lost vs weight lost is probably not an argument, more torque can be gained with further tuning.
