As you may have seen from previous threads I've just put a new bottom end in and have had serious oil leak problems which we thought was the breather system (brought a new uprated one) but later found it wasn't that!!!
So oil leak fixed but now have excessive smoke coming out of the small fillter on the breather system, have been told you could expect a small amount of smoke but this is alot.....

Any ideas

 

somthing blocked maybe...

 

piston rings worn, this would give you smoke from the breather aswell as exhaust, was the bottom end 2nd hand?

 

yeah it was, my mate had it before me so I know it was in gd nick

 

any body ealse got any ideas???

 

Ok so no more ideas....next question is it going to harm the engine if I drive it hard with this smoke???

have you got the vacume plumbed into your breather system , also are you sure the crank case breather tube is clear as i've seen so many blocked solid
