whats up?
just bought a mk5 cab with a 1.6 cvh turbo engine running cossie management.
2 of my friends went to pick it up for me and on the way back they said it just seemed like there was no power. the turbo was spooling up. the boost hoses were all fitted correctly and every thing looks okay but it started to over heat and they said it was like the engine was trying to hard hence the over heating.
has anyone got a clue what could be causing this?? broken sensor? bad wiring? mechanical?
any help would be great.

first thing i'd be looking at is head gasket, there's a liquid you put in water and if any exhaust gases are present then it changes colour as an indication as sounds like you might have a weaping gasket. Next on list is make sure all the fueling and timings are ok as these will cause it to over heat and lack power.

I got it from kent the other day but i'm up in blackpool so oddkidd's a bit out of my way plus motorsport development's about a ten min drive away.
i think oddkidd did the conversion to begin with and he mapped it at 210bhp but after it was mapped the previous owner left it stood for about 9 months and while it was stood he changed the dizzy to coil pack so this might have something to do with it??
Boot is set about 7 psi and its got a -31 on
cheeRS for the advise guys
