what's the problem ?
Cut 4 short slots in the side without the gate to pass 2 large jubilee clips through and around the pump, holding the pump vertically. Reinforce the side of the collector with a strip of steel or aluminium on the outside running from the top to the bottom, trapped in place by the 2 jubilees, to prevent cracking.

Thats a good idea, however ATL have provided a pre-moulded round tube to insert the pump into. This tube is already on the side without the gates, only it's a tad smaller dia than the pump. If I could get the pump into this hole - problem solved.
I might have to look at cutting it in some way.
thanks for your input.
