Default Rear lights leaking in!!!!

Put some smoked rear lights on the Escort RS.... and with the rain its leaking in GRRRRR

What do you lot do to stop this? and what grease/wax would you recommend to keep dry/stop rusting.???

indeed i did. But they are leaking in like mad!!!

Whats a good outside sheet to get for an RS in the winter? a good cover?

i had the same problem i just used normal gasket sealer from my local parts shop, never had any probs but i would definatley use some kind of sealent.

You can still buy the gaskets from Quick Co. mines were leaking and they were still available to buy. Give them a call, this is there website, try to find a local dealer http://www.quickco.co.uk

Failing that you can buy gasket paper from BSL/Brammer

I put silicone sealent in the gaps round the inside edge, never leaked again.

Can look quite nastey to a buyer tho, i used it once and it was picked up on, i suppose if you take your time doing it when its not raining tho

Anyone recommend a good car cover for winter? Rain is bad here in Blackpool now and my garage is being built.
