Cosworth 2wd 7.5" diff clonking question
Evenin' Guys,
I am experiencing some 'clonking' sounds - sounds more like a turkey that has a cold - coming from the rear diff, when I come off the throttle.
I think this is not normal, but the noise has been there since I got the car. I have to pull the diff out for something else, and was wondering if it is possible to rebuild the diff or not? I have included a picture (sorry for the crap quality, it is also 8 years old
)

(I don't think I can get the photo in this post, so here is the link - http://picasaweb.google.com/Aukedrdw/CossieDiff/photo#5234881703788532466)
Search the almighty web has heralded absolutely no help thus far.....
The car is a 1988, 2wd Italian market model - ie everything is 4wd except there is no FWD bits in there and the G-box is a T5.
Regards,
Auke
