Default XR2 not sparking

I've been having troubles with my 88 XR2.

Doesn't seem to be getting a spark at all.

It's getting power and an earth to the coil.
2 powers and an earth to the ignition module on the distributor
All engine earths are good

So far I've.....
Swapped the coil
swapped the main ignition lead to the coil
checked that the rotor arm is ok and turning

Only thing I can think of is the module on the distributor being faulty (i'm not even sure how this works or what it does exactly though).
Or maybe the dizzy itself?!
(anyone got one?)

Any ideas?

Dizzy module is an amplifier. If it was dodgy you'd get a weak spark, maybe none, I'm not sure...

Have you tried a different dizzy cap?

first time I tested it was very weak.... then nothing.

Not tried a new cap as it was only changed recently..... worth a try though

Update:

Tried a different dizzy (many thanks to Marv).
No Change!

Sparking intermittently on two cylinders only and not at all on the other two.

Anyone able to tell me exactly what signals should be going into the ignition module?
I've got-
3. Blue Wire - 12v
2. Brown wire - Earth
1. yellow Green - nothing now but was 12v earlier (but also tried adding 12v with no effect!)

Basic stuff-
Coil - 12v and an earth is all it needs?

This is really puzzling me........

I've answered this over on XRTWO.com.

The green cable goes to the coil. The same point that also goes form the coil to the rev counter (also green).
At least thats how the amp module connects in a mk3 fes CVH - which is the same dizzy.
